How It Works
Ecomonedas has been designed as an internal economy based on trust, transparency, and the real value of the services offered. It is a simple yet profound system that seeks to balance fair exchange with personal and community growth.
A Transparent System that Rewards Commitment
How do you join Ecomonedas?
- Submit the pre-registration form.
- Your application is approved by Preferred Members (requires 51% approval).
- You become a member of the Ecomonedas Association by paying the annual membership fee of €100.
- You activate a crypto wallet compatible with the Cardano ecosystem. Ecomonedas recommends the Eternl wallet to send and receive EC from your mobile or tablet. (Installation instructions available.)
- You receive your Ecomonedas, ready to use for therapies, events, workshops, and services offered by other members.
Membership Fees and Ecomonedas Received
| Membership Type | Contribution (€) | EC Received |
|---|---|---|
| Annual – Preferred Members | €100 | 200 EC |
| Annual – All Other Members | €100 | 100 EC |
| Additional Contributions (Optional) | €100 | 100 EC |
Preferred Members are the founding members and the first 20 members per province whose applications have been accepted. In addition to EC, members also receive a small amount of ADA (Cardano’s cryptocurrency) to cover transaction fees.
How Are Services Valued?
Each member offers their services according to a tiered system that reflects experience, training, and perceived value.
| Level | Value in EC/hour | Suggested Profile |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | 20–30 EC/hour | New facilitators or basic services |
| Silver | 30–50 EC/hour | Professionals with moderate experience |
| Gold | 50–100 EC/hour | Established professionals, premium work |
Your proposed level (Bronze, Silver, or Gold) is initially accepted as indicated in the pre-registration form, but may be reviewed or changed by Preferred Members through voting.
Members may request a yearly reevaluation based on their professional development.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I use Ecomonedas outside the network?
No. Ecomonedas are designed for internal community use between validated members.
What if I don’t use all my EC?
Ecomonedas don’t expire. You can keep them in your wallet, gift them, or exchange them with other members.
What if I give EC to someone outside the network?
Ecomonedas are intended to build trust and value among people who share a common vision of wellness, collaboration, and mutual respect.
If you choose to gift or loan EC to someone not validated as a member:
- That person is not officially part of the community.
- Any legal, fiscal, or ethical consequences are your own responsibility.
Can I combine EC with €uros?
Yes. Especially in the early stages of the project, many professionals prefer mixed pricing (e.g., €20 + 30 EC).
During this initial phase, we allow flexibility so each member can adapt to their own reality.
However, at least 50% of any exchange must be in EC, for example:
- “Individual session: €20 + 30 EC”
- “Online consultation: €10 + 20 EC”
This helps professionals meet their basic needs while we grow the symbolic EC economy. The long-term goal is to facilitate 100% EC exchanges.
Trust and Transparency
Trust in the creation and management of tokens is the foundation for Ecomonedas to function ethically, sustainably, and in a way that motivates all members.
Here is a transparent structure to ensure fair and collaborative token issuance.
🧱 Token Issuance and Structure
- Initial supply of tokens: 20,000 EC
- Initial distribution: 80% to membership and additional contributions, 15% for reserves and incentives, 5% for founding members.
- Issuance frequency: Annual issuance of 20,000 EC, adjustable by the General Assembly depending on member growth and fee structure.
Annual distribution breakdown:
- 80% for membership and additional contributions
- 15% for reserves and incentives
- 5% for the previous year’s Board of Directors
Token issuance control:
New tokens must be approved by the Board of Directors after consulting Preferred Members, who help ensure transparency and alignment with the project’s goals.
Visible community wallet:
A public Cardano wallet will display total issuance and circulating supply.
Viewable at: https://cardanoscan.io
Optional multi-signature model:
The wallet can be managed by two individuals elected by Preferred Members via simple majority vote.
Governance and Power Structure
“Power distribution” – “Member roles” – “Voting rights”
Modifying the Powers of Preferred Members (Founders and Initials)
To ensure efficiency during the early stages, special decision-making powers are granted to founding and initial members (Preferred Members). These include greater voting weight and strategic decision authority, as defined by the internal regulations.
However, in line with democratic evolution and adaptive governance, the General Assembly may modify or redefine these powers at any time.
Any such change must be approved via an extraordinary vote, requiring 51% approval of active members present or represented in a properly convened assembly.
This mechanism protects the founding vision early on, without limiting future changes as the community evolves.
What happens with members’ euro contributions?
Ecomonedas is a non-profit association, so no member may profit privately from euro-based fees.
Funds are used exclusively to support the development and sustainability of the project.
Who decides how to use those funds?
Initially, Preferred Members decide on fund use to ensure agile and efficient management, within the limits set by the bylaws.
However, the General Assembly may amend these privileges democratically at any time.
What are the funds used for?
Euros are allocated to cover:
- Room rentals for meetings and events
- Travel for Board Members to represent and promote the association
- Basic services like internet, phone, and digital tools
- Materials for outreach and promotion
All spending is conducted with transparency, purpose-alignment, and in accordance with decisions made by the Board, Preferred Members, and the General Assembly.
