📄 Legal Use and Frequently Asked Questions

This section contains frequently asked questions about the use of Ecomonedas and clarifies important legal matters to avoid misunderstandings within the community.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I use Ecomonedas outside the network?
No. Ecomonedas operate exclusively within the Ecomonedas community, among validated members. Their purpose is to promote an exchange ecosystem based on trust, human quality, and shared values.

What happens if I don’t use all my EC?
Ecomonedas do not expire. You can keep them in your personal wallet, save them for future exchanges, or use them as symbolic gifts for other members.

Can I gift or lend EC to someone who is not a member?
Technically yes, but with important caveats. Ecomonedas tokens are designed to strengthen a trust-based network among people committed to wellbeing, collaboration, and mutual respect.

If you decide to transfer EC to someone who has not been validated as a member:

  • That person is not officially part of the Ecomonedas community.

  • Any legal, tax, or ethical consequences from that action will be the sole responsibility of the member making the transfer.

Can I allow my partner, child, or friend to use my Ecomonedas?
You may allow someone close to you (partner, child, close friend) to use your Ecomonedas under your direct responsibility.

📌 Important: If your partner, child, or another close person uses your Ecomonedas to access services within the ecosystem, the Ecomonedas Association assumes no legal, tax, or administrative responsibility for how that person uses the tokens. If this use leads to an inspection, complaint, or issue with the Tax Agency or another authority, the responsibility will fall solely on the registered member who authorized the use.

Can Ecomonedas be combined with euros (€)?
Yes. Especially in this initial phase of the project, many professionals offer mixed rates of EC + € to support the transition process.

Example combinations:

  • “Individual session: €20 + 30 EC”

  • “Online consultation: €10 + 20 EC”

The minimum agreement during this phase is that at least 50% of the value of the exchange must be in EC.

In the medium term, the goal is to build a symbolic economy that allows for 100% EC exchanges, encouraging self-sufficiency, trust, and conscious cooperation.

⚖️ Legal and Fiscal Aspects

Ecomonedas are not legal tender or a financial crypto asset recognized by the State.
They function as a symbolic internal exchange system among validated members, with educational, collaborative, and social purposes within the Ecomonedas Association.

🔐 Personal Use Responsibility
Each member is responsible for using Ecomonedas in a way that aligns with the project’s purpose. If used externally or as a means of buying/selling outside the Association’s framework, the member assumes any legal, tax, or administrative consequences.

🧾 Relationship with the Tax Agency or other authorities
Ecomonedas do not replace the euro, nor do they exempt members from declaring income when appropriate. If a professional receives both EC and euros, they must declare the euro portion as income, according to their tax status.

The Association is not responsible for the individual tax management of its members.

If a member allows their partner, child, or friend to use their Ecomonedas to access services, all legal and tax responsibility for that use remains with the registered member.
